Dr. Christine Coombe has been on the English faculty at Dubai Men’s College since 1999.  She has a PhD in Foreign/Second Language Education from The Ohio State University.  In the past few years she has been heavily involved in conference organization and Toastmasters.  In 2004 she was elected to the TESOL Board of Directors as the Convention Chair for Tampa 2006.  Most recently she received her DTM from Toastmasters International—the highest award given to a Toastmaster.  Christine is the author of numerous professional volumes and has published on language assessment and effective teaching in journals like Language Testing, Language Teaching Forum, Modern Language Teacher, the Essential Teacher and TESOL Quarterly.
